Shabbat Services

WJC holds Shabbat Services every week, throughout the entire year.  Click here for information on Youth Services including Teen Minyan dates

  • Kabbalat Shabbat (Friday night) services.  Service times are based on candle-lighting time.  Please check the home page or the Review for the exact time.   During mid spring through the summer, services begin at 7:15pm.  Please check the home page or the Review for the exact times.
  • Family Friday Night Shabbat Services:  This fun, new program is sponsored by the Nursery Auxiliary  and is designed with nursery families in mind.  It is a great opportunity to connect with your family and celebreate Shabbat.  Services are child-friendly and interactive.  Dates and times for 2009-2020 will be posted shortly.  Check the home page or the Review
  • Shabbat morning services begin at 8:45am from September-June. Congregants interested in participating as baal korei should contact Cantor Sokoloff at cantor@wjcenter.org.  In July and August, services begin at 9:00am.  Summer services also provide congregants the opportunity to participate in the service by leading the service, reading Torah and Haftarah and giving D’vrei Torah.  For more information, please contact Cindy Heller at rjh613@aol.com
  • Shabbat Study Service:  Approximately once/month, a separate study service is conducted parallel to the main service.  This is a more intimate service that provides participants with the opportunity for discussion.  Click here for more information and dates.  For more information, please contact Rabbi Steigmann
  • Mincha/Maariv and Havdalah services are held each Saturday evening, depending on the time at which Shabbat is over.  See the calendar and the home page for service times.
