Holocaust Learning Center

Holocaust Memorial The Holocaust Learning Center Committee is currently seeking the help of the WJC community in collecting testimonies that refer to the names etched on the WJC Holocaust Memorial. With these testimonies, WJC will record and ensure that the experiences members and their relatives endured in Nazi occupied Europe are never forgotten. It is vital that these personal stories never be forgotten.

HELP US COLLECT TESTIMONIES. They will refer to the names etched on the WJC Holocaust Memorial, which sits in a grove right outside the chapel. The Memorial honors survivors as well as the relatives of WJC members who perished.

THE GOAL IS TO RECORD these stories for the WJC Holocaust Learning Center, an adjunct to the Memorial housed in the library. These histories will then be obtainable online and available to our community for generations to come.

IF YOU CAN LISTEN, and take notes, you can be a gatherer of a story. As a result of your contact, some will be encouraged to write their own accounts, but for others, being able to share their personal legacy will make the task of telling easier.

WE WILL PROVIDE GUIDELINES AND ORIENTATION.

INTERESTED? Please contact Ruth Obernbreit at [email protected] or Marc Karell at [email protected].

Your participation will enable us to move forward.
