Youth Services

Children ServiceYouth Services (except Teen Schmooze) are held every Shabbat and Yom Tov from 10:45am to 11:45am.

At the end of their services, children are encouraged to return to the main sanctuary to participate in or lead closing prayers such as Ein Keloheinu, Aleinu, Anim Z’mirot and Adon Olam.

We offer:

  • Torah for Tots: infant through kindergarten. Torah for Tots is a fun, participatory program that introduces children to the delights of Shabbat while they learn Hebrew prayers and vocabulary through song, dance, play and stories. The service concludes with a Kiddush for the children. Parents are encouraged to remain with children for this special hour.

  • Youth Services: This service is for children in grades first through six. As children gain in their knowledge of the Shabbat morning service, they are better able to participate in and help lead this service. Youth services help teach “prayer skills” that will last a lifetime.

  • Teen Schmooze: This service is designed for 7th grade and up. The service will be adult-directed but the goal is to engage teens in a participatory Shabbat morning service with their peers. Please refer to our calendar for dates.
