Jewish Education Everywhere at WJC

Imagine a Religious School where children walk along a beach and  yell to their teacher, “Ma Rabu," and you are experiencing what happens at WJC! Through enrichment programs offered to every child in the Religious School, students can identify with their Judaism anywhere they go, even on a beach looking at snails, shells and seaweed! This is a perfect example of how Jewish Education at WJC can happen outside the classroom where each child shares with one another the greatness of God’s creations!

Throughout the school year, children in our Religious School are given the opportunity to choose from a variety of classroom electives including Kosher Cooking for Pesach or Shabbat, Jewish Heroism, or Building Jerusalem through Lego and Comparative Religion to name a few.   Children can learn about various Jewish artists, create their own newspaper for Purim or learn Hebrew vocabulary while doing yoga together!  What fun!

Our goal is to teach the families in the Religious School that Judaism happens everywhere!  Click here for the 2015-2016 Enrichment Booklet.
