Scholars-in-Residence (SIR) Weekend

Scholars-in-Residence (SIR) weekend brings nationally known scholars in some aspect of Jewish life (e.g., history, politics, prayer, Bible, etc.) to WJC. This year, the program is still in formation but  the weekend usually includes a Friday night dinner/lecture, Shabbat morning sermon, Shabbat afternoon event, and Saturday night reception.

with Professor Deborah Dash Moore, Ph.D, of the Unversity of Michigan


A noted historian of American Jews, Professor Moore focuses on the twentieth century and the urban experience.  She is the author of: Urban Origins of American Judaism and will lead us in conversation on a variety of topics.
