Triple T: Torah Talmud Tuesdays with Rabbi Adir Yolkut
Torah is best served bright and early, paired beautifully with coffee, tea, and intellectually stimulating discussions. Much of what we understand as Biblical commentary comes from the medieval period. Did you know though that most all commentator's roots stem from the Talmud, which was written at least 500 years before them! It's basically some of the earliest recorded conversations of the Rabbis and we are going to be exploring it in-depth in this iteration of the Torah class!
All are invited to join Rabbi Adir each Tuesday morning from 9:45am to 10:45 am in the Beit Midrash at WJC for coffee and a discussion about "Parshat HaShavu'a" - The Weekly Torah Portion. We will look at many of the stories of our ancestors and at our history. We will learn how they apply these teachings to some of the current issues facing us today. Most importantly, we will engage together in this endeavor, conversing, challenging, and questioning one another as we delve into the great beauty of our tradition! No prior Torah knowledge or knowledge of Hebrew is required to participate! Please contact Rabbi Adir with any questions at: [email protected]
Bring questions and comments as we continue to learn what the Torah has to teach us.
Come every week or whenever you are available.
