Cooking for Hope continues on Wednesday, July 28.

We have just been informed that the Soup Kitchen needs us all to cook the same item so everyone receiving a meal will get the same thing. We are suggesting that we all make lasagna. Please remember that they prefer that there is meat in the dish. If you would like to make it vegetarian, please add plant protein (impossible burger, beyond burger, Boca crumbles, etc). If you can make a vegetable and dessert, they would appreciate it but it is not mandatory.

Each night in the soup kitchen (M-F) they serve 60-100 clients two servings of dinner and a packaged lunch for the following day. We realize people may be away but please try to participate if possible as the need is still great. Drop off is from 9:00-11:00 am at 18 Sherwood Oval, Larchmont. Please let me know if you need to make other arrangements.

Please contact Sondra at sklevy8@gmail.com or 914-980-8853 with any questions.

About Hope Soup Kitchen

With the assistance and support of a host of volunteers, HOPE opened the doors of its first Soup Kitchen in 1984. Since its early days, HOPE has grown to become the largest emergency Food Pantry and Soup Kitchen in the region. Although HOPE Community Services was founded to respond to hunger in the community, it quickly became apparent that food was not the only thing our clients were lacking. Clothing, language skills, emotional support, immigration services, and other daily necessities were also needed. HOPE Community Services expanded its services to meet the needs of its diverse client population. To learn more, visit www.hopecommunityservices.org.
