The Photography of Loli Kantor
Beyond the Forest: Jewish Presence in Eastern Europe

Please join us at our Gallery Opening in the WJC Lobby Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 7:45pm

Layered with joy and remembrance, photographer Loli Kantor reveals a contemporary Judaism in Europe that is reconnecting with its past as it moves into the future. For nearly 10 years Kantor, the daughter of two Holocaust survivors, has traveled to Poland and Ukraine to document Jewish life

Our opening will feature a brief talk by the photographer and Rabbi Seth Braunstein, director of Camp Szarvas. Each summer 70-75 US teens are selected to represent North America at the Hungary-based camp. As American Ambassadors, they celebrate, explore and share experiences with Jewish peers from around the world.

Wine and cheese will be served.
