DESCRIPTION:Is there a right and wrong way to retell the story of the Holoc
 aust?\nThursday\, November 8\, 2018 • 7:45pm\nIn 1955\, renowned French 
 filmmaker Alain Resnais produced Night and Fog\, depicting the Nazis’ sy
 stematic destruction of people. Forty years later\, Steven Spielberg produ
 ced Survivors of the Holocaust. Both documentaries used the same archival 
 visual material to present distinctly different presentations.  We will r
 eview these two films and talk about whether there is a right or wrong way
  to teach the Holocaust.\n\nDr. Joram Warmund\, a vital member of our Holo
 caust Learning Center\, is Professor and recently retired Chairman of Hist
 ory at Long Island University’s Brooklyn campus. He received his Bachelo
 r’s\, Master’s and Ph.D. degrees from Queens College (1961)\, Columbia
  University (1962)\, and New York University (1968) respectively.
