Mitzvah Day 2018

Our 2018 collection benefits four local organizations:

Caritas of Port Chester−Port Chester, NY
CRC−Community Resource Center−Mamaroneck, NY
My Sisters’ Place−White Plains, NY
Providence House−New Rochelle, NY

Food: Note changes

• 32- or 48-ounce plastic bottles of vegetable oil.

Toiletries for Women and Men: Note changes

• New, full size, unopened items.
• Razors, mouthwash, lip balm, wipes, toothbrushes and toothpaste, bar soap, body wash, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant.

Clothing for Children, Baby through Teen: Note changes

• New and nearly new children’s winter coats, winter clothing, gloves, scarves, boots and sneakers (baby through teens).
• New and unopened socks and underwear for children of all sizes.

Clothing for Day Laborers and Homeless:

• Gently used or new hooded sweatshirts, socks, and gloves in small men’s sizes.
• Men’s sweatshirts, socks, gloves and warm scarves in men’s sizes M/L/XL.

Items for families: Note new items

• New fitted crib sheets, twin sheet sets, twin blankets or comforters, towels, and washcloths.
• New or almost-new sets of dishes, silverware, glassware. All should be clean and securely packaged, preferably boxed. Dish sets for 4,6 or 8.

Diaper Drive:

• Diapers in sizes Newborn,1,2,3,4,5,6.
• Pull-ups.
• Baby wipes.

Help the Hungry: Hands on!

• Join fellow congregants at 12:00 pm to make healthy snack bags for distribution to needy recipients for Caritas of Port Chester.
