DESCRIPTION:This year's SOJAC Mitzvah Day is a hybrid\, so everyone can hel
 p out and get involved based on their comfort level!\nSpecial activities o
 n Mitzvah Day (November 14) include:\n\n 	Eve Russ is arranging for WJC vo
 lunteers  to help rebuild flood damaged homes in our community with the F
 uller Center. The Fuller Center is devoted to this ongoing work. Space may
  be limited. Adults and older teens. In order to participate\, you must co
 ntact Eve Russ: eruss143@aol.com.\n 	Children ages 3-10 can make cards or 
 posters to welcome Afghan children currently residing at Fort Dix in New J
 ersey\, awaiting resettlement. These cards are intended to help the refuge
 e children feel welcome to the US  and hopeful that they will get to live
  happy\, full lives with their families. We will supply all materials. Con

 Teens will be packing Hanukkah gift bags for the elders of Project Ezra on
  Tuesday\, November 16\, during their meeting. These goodie bags make the 
 elders feel remembered and valued\, a definite mitzvah!\n 	Religious Schoo
 l and ECC children have been working on Hanukkah greeting cards to put in 
 the goodie bags for Project Ezra elders. The cards bring a smile to the se
 nior’s faces\, while they enjoy the goodies—a real mitzvah!\n\nDonatio
 ns\nAll of our community partners have asked us to collect only new\, most
  needed items.\nPlease note: All clothing and underwear must be new! Col
 lections bins will be available at WJC from October 25-November 21. Colle

 nt with current CDC guidance\, all persons age two and above must wear mas
 ks at all times while inside the building\, regardless of vaccination stat
 us. Exceptions include presenters from the Bimah during religious services
  (including prayer leaders\, speakers\, and Torah readers) and while seate
 d and eating.\n\nIn Outdoor Tent Spaces and on Synagogue Grounds: Masks m
 ay be required for large gatherings in outdoor tents as determined by syna
 gogue leadership. At other times\, fully vaccinated persons need not wear 
 masks outdoors\, although we ask that everyone be mindful of the sensitivi
 ties of those around them. All unvaccinated persons age two and above must
  wear masks outdoors when they are within six feet of others\, except when
  seated and eating Kiddush with their families or pods.\n\nVaccination Pol
 icy\n\nIndividuals ages 12 and above: For the safety and comfort of the c
 ongregation\, all eligible persons ages 12 and above must be fully vaccina
 ted to attend religious services\, programs\, or other WJC activities in t
 he building. We reserve the right to request proof of vaccination at our d
 iscretion.\n\nThose who are not fully vaccinated may attend outdoor progra
 mming in accordance with the masking policy set forth above. We will conti
 nue to provide access to our services and many of our programs virtually t
 hrough Zoom and/or live stream.
