DESCRIPTION:WJC Hosts Concert to Benefit Ukrainian Children\nUkrainian-Amer
 ican soprano\, Oksana Krovytska\, who was hailed by the New York Times as 
 "the Butterfly that Puccini wanted" when performing with New York City Ope
 ra\, will lead several Ukrainian artists in a concert to benefit children 
 of war-torn Ukraine at the Westchester Jewish Center in Mamaroneck on June
  12.\n\nJoining Ms. Krovytska are Stefan Szkavarofsky\, a bass with the Me
 tropolitan Opera\, Dr. Taras Filenko\, a renowned pianist/musicologist and
  authority on Ukrainian music\, violinist Innesa Tymochko-Dekajlo\, the Ma
 lvy Bandura Duet\, as well as other special guests.\n\n\n\n\n\nThe concert
  will explore the unique musical heritage of Ukraine\, including the cultu
 ral exchange between Ashkenazi Jews and other ethnic groups that have call
 ed Ukraine home. This concert is given in support of UJA Federation's Cris
 is in Ukraine Emergency Mobilization Fund\, and the Ukrainian charitable f
 oundation "With an Angel on the Shoulder"\, which was founded in Lviv in 2
 017 and provides assistance to children and young adults with serious dise
 ases. Since the beginning of the war\, WAS's mission has been significantl
 y broadened to include aid to orphaned and displaced children and medical 
 institutions that provide support to the elderly and low-income groups. Ms
 . Krovytska is a native of L'viv and her daughter works for the foundation
 .\n\nThis concert is co-sponsored by Mamaroneck United Methodist Church an
 d the Westchester Jewish Coalition for Immigration.\n\nA suggested donatio
 n of $36 per person can be made prior to or at the concert.\n\n&nbsp\;
