SUMMARY:Project Ezra Luncheon
DESCRIPTION:The Project Ezra Luncheon is an important event for both the el
 ders of Project Ezra and the WJC community.\n\nThe luncheon brings togethe
 r two very different communities for a Jewish Peoplehood event that is mea
 ningful and joyous for all involved.\n\nWJC SOJAC hosts the luncheon for a
 bout 35 elders who are clients of Project Ezra on the Lower East Side. Man
 y of the elders are of limited resources\, and are facing health challenge
 s as well. This year our theme is Thanksgiving and gratitude. We are grate
 ful to once again come together\, and spend a wonderful afternoon together
  with a catered lunch\, music provided by our wonderful volunteers\, schmo
 ozing\, serving\, kitchen duties and more provided by WJC volunteers. It i
 s hard to know who has the better time\, the elders or the volunteers.\n\n
 Sisterhood kindly provides the bus\, which is a necessity for elders who h
 ave limited mobility and may use walkers or wheelchairs. WJC volunteers sp
 an every age range from teens to seniors.\n\nVOLUNTEER SHIFTS NEEDED:\n1ST
  SHIFT\, 9am to 11am: clean kitchen\; prepare food trolleys\; set tables\;
  set up coffee station\; warm up food.\n\n2ND SHIFT\, 11am to 1pm: meet an
 d escort Elders from bus to bathrooms and gymnasium\; plate and serve food
 \; socialize with Elders.\n\n3RD SHIFT\, 1pm to 2:30pm: serve food\; socia
 lize with Elders\; escort Elders back to buses\; clean up\n\nPlease contac
