 ren joined the Navy following graduation from the Jewish Theological Semin
 ary in May 2011. While in active service\, he served first with the Marine
  Corps in Okinawa Japan where his duties took him across the Western Pacif
 ic and to Afghanistan. His next tour was at the U.S. Naval Academy in Anna
 polis\, Md. where he worked with Midshipmen from all faiths and no faiths 
 while also serving as the rabbi for the Commodore Levy Chapel and Jewish C
 enter. In 2018\, he was assigned as Command Chaplain for a ship out of Nor
 folk VA where his deployments took him into the Mediterranean\, Black\, Re
 d\, and Baltic Seas\, as well as the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. Now stati
 oned as Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth\, Va.\, Chaplain Warren spends 
 most of his days working with sailors and their family members who are exp
 eriencing illness and loss.\n\nIf you want to read all the ribbons on his 
 chest\, they all mean something: it almost serves as a resume if you know
