The holiday of Shavuot commemorates the giving/ receiving of the Torah at Mt. Sinai. We also on Shavuot read Megillat Ruth, the story of Naomi and her daughter-in-law Ruth is read. Themes of kindness and devotion are strongly represented in this tale. We invite children in 1st through 6th grade to join Youth Services at WJC and celebrate this joyous holiday! Following our service, we encourage everyone to join us for a Kiddush lunch with the congregation.
