Family Youth Education Council

Mission: Provides a forum for leaders and representatives of the many WJC committees and task forces that deal with youth – from early childhood through the teen years – to interact and exchange ideas. Founded in 2014, the FYEC’s goal is to improve all aspects of synagogue life and build a cohesive community for our youth and their families. The committee meets bi-monthly. Member committees of this Council set strategy, counsel and work closely with WJC clergy and the staff responsible for providing educational, service and social programming for our youth. These groups include:

• Early Childhood Center (ECC) Policy & Procedures Committee

• Early Childhood Center Auxiliary

• Religious School Policy & Procedures Committee

• Religious School Parents Association

• B’Nei Mitzvah Committee

• Teen Engagement Committee

• WJC Basketball Association

• Youth Services Task Force of the Ritual and Spiritual Life Committee

• Finance Committee
