World Jewry Committee Presents
A Jewish Culture Series: Exploring Judaism Through TV + Film

Jewish characters have existed as long as the medium itself. But in recent years, these portrayals have become even more relevant and are taking on new forms with more radical opinions and commentaries on the world than ever before. In this 3-part series, we welcome a broad range of speakers to fill us in on contemporary Jewish characters.

Jennifer Armstrong on Seinfeld
**Rescheduled due to weather** to Wednesday, April 18th, 2018 from 7:45-9:15pm in the WJC Activity Center

Jennifer Armstrong, formerly of Entertainment Weekly, and a prolific author of books such as the recent Seinfeldia, will discuss the history of the beloved show Seinfeld and its profound impact on (Jewish) culture. We’ll learn about the strange and new reality that Seinfeld, one where years after the show had ended the Soup Nazi still spends his days saying “No soup for you!”, Joe Davola gets questioned every day about his sanity, and Kenny Kramer makes his living giving tours of New York sites from the show.
