World Refugee Day Event

Join Westchester Jewish Coalition for Immigration (WJCI) along with our partners—Shames JCC on the Hudson, HIAS, UJA-Federation of New York, Holocaust and Human Rights Education Center—for an immersive, engaging event to learn about the refugee experience through stories and culture on Sunday, June 12 from 3:00-5:00pm.. On this year’s World Refugee Day, as forced displacement hits a record-breaking high, together we will celebrate resilience and support resettled families in our community. This event is suited for all ages and will feature storytelling, education and advocacy booths, live music and beautiful crafts and delicious international food for sale.

This event will take place outside at Shames JCC on the Hudson in Tarrytown. Attendees ages 12+ needing access to the JCC facility will be required to show proof of Covid-19 vaccination. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved inside to the JCC Gymnasium.
