Part one of a three part series: Are we OK? With rates of depression, anxiety, and suicidality soaring the answer seems obvious. What do we really know about coping ? How can we access protective factors like self compassion and living in connection when things get difficult ? How can a community improve its mental health?

About Alan and Katie

Alan Dienstag, Ph.D. and Katie Sawyer Ph.D. are the founders of the Parent Center, a project of the Larchmont Mamaroneck Community Counseling Center and psychologists in private practice. They have developed and presented workshops and public presentations in this community for 10 years on topics related to children, adolescents, parenting and mental health.
