The Assistant Rabbi Search Committee is pleased to announce that Rabbi Brianah Caplan has been invited to WJC for an extended weekend congregational visit.
Rabbi Caplan will be visiting WJC from the evening of Thursday, May 7 through the morning of Sunday, May 10
Over the course of her visit, she will attend and participate in our worship services, have the opportunity to interact with WJC members and families in a variety of settings, and meet with key staff members.
Rabbi Caplan is completing her studies at the Conservative movement’s Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies in Los Angeles and will be ordained in mid-May. She brings to the rabbinate a commitment to Jewish education and pastoral care, as well as a passion for spiritually meaningful prayer and music.
The weekend will be an opportunity for us to learn more about Rabbi Caplan, and for her to learn about us. Please join us for as much of her visit as you can. The schedule follows below.

Rabbi Caplan will read Torah
Rabbi Caplan will visit Torah for Tots and Youth Services and offer a brief activity in each.
Rabbi Caplan will deliver a formal sermon in the sanctuary. Then, the search committee chairs will interview Rabbi Caplan about her background, values, experience and priorities. Submit questions in advance to hhmizrachi@gmail.com or amy.rublin.mayer@gmail.com. We will not be taking questions from the audience during the session. This schedule avoids interfering with that morning’s bat mitzvah.
