Assistant Rabbi Candidate Visit

The Assistant Rabbi Search Committee is pleased to announce that Rabbi Nathaniel “Nati” Faber has been invited to WJC for an extended weekend congregational visit.

Rabbi Faber will be visiting WJC from Friday, May 15th to the morning of Sunday, May 17th.

Over the course of his visit, he will attend and participate in our worship services, have the opportunity to interact with WJC members and families in a variety of settings, and meet with key staff members.

Originally from Southfield, Michigan, Rabbi Nathaniel (Nati) Faber brings a multifaceted background in Jewish education, communal leadership, and service. After completing his service in the IDF as a Social Welfare NCO for the Haredi Brigades—supporting soldiers and strengthening unit wellbeing—Nati continued his professional and academic journey in Israel. He studied education at Jacob Herzog Teacher’s College as well as being a Kollel Fellow at Yeshivat Har Etzion and later received Rabbinic Ordination from World Mizrachi. From there Rabbi Faber went on to be a teacher and Jewish educator for 5 years, teaching Biblical Studies, Talmudic Studies, and English, as well as being Program Director in various Jewish camp settings. He currently works as a rabbi and educator at two synagogues in Manhattan and as Senior Associate for Jewish Communal Engagement at J Street.

The weekend will be an opportunity for us to learn more about Rabbi Faber and his unique Jewish journey, and for him to learn about us. Please join us for as much of his visit as you can. The schedule follows below.
