Save the date for A Taste of the Telling! In honor of Juneteenth, WJC is proud to welcome April Hampton of Montgomery, Alabama, for a powerful and meaningful community experience. Inspired by the tradition of the Passover Seder, April created The Telling: A Gathering of Remembrance — a history text of the plight of African Americans from the tribulations of the past to the highlights of the present — which will be discussed over a “soul food” meal.
This moving program invites participants to gather around the table, honor the past, celebrate progress, and engage in important conversations about freedom, memory, and community. Join us for a special Rhythm & Ruach session inspired by The Telling followed by a delicious shared meal. The program is geared towards adults, teens and middle schoolers.
Please register by Friday, June 12!
