The Challah Fairy: A Baking and Storytime Adventure

This event is an opportunity for two different fun activities for the whole family. A hands-on challah making workshop AND story time with the author of The Challah Fairy, Tami Arnowitz. We will be creating dough that can either rise and braid together or to take home immediately and do the rise and braid at home. All challah will be baked at home. We’ve created a schedule with flexibility to meet the needs of families.

9:30am-10:00am challah dough making
10am religious school kids head to class
ECC aged kids and parents stay for story time, take dough home to rise, shape and bake or leave the dough and come back at noon to shape altogether
10:15-noon dough rises
noon participating religious school families come back to shape the dough and hear Tami’s book.

People take their shaped dough and go home to bake it.
