Celebrate Shavuot by learning from our own modern day Ruths: WJC Sisterhood members who are Jews by choice.

It is said that converts are “Jewish souls that found their way home” signifying the belief that some individuals, regardless of their birth lineage, have a deep spiritual connection to Judaism and are essentially returning to their “true” spiritual family by converting. In honor of Shavuot’s reading of the Book Of Ruth, where we learn of Ruth the Moabite’s conversion to Judaism, Sisterhood celebrates our members who have converted to Judaism, or are in the process of doing so. Join us for an uplifting program as we learn from these modern day Ruths why they converted and what there Jewish identities mean for them!
