Join SOJAC to learn how 1 in 3 low income women are affected by Period Poverty.
We will be conducting a drive to collect sanitary pads of all sizes for HOPE Community Services and My Sister’s Place. These items can be brought to WJC or bought through our registry between April 4 and May 4.
On May 4, in recognition of National Menstrual Health Awareness Month, SOJAC will be hosting Elizabeth Zimmerman, community organizer from NCJW who will speak on Period Poverty. We will hear about the one-in-three low income women forced to miss school, work and activities as the are unable to afford or access menstrual products.
