Join WJC SOCIAL JUSTICE ACTION COMMITTEE for a day of helping others.

See the many opportunities below for individuals and families to donate, learn and participate!

 

COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTER – Front Lobby from 12-2pm

Help local immigrants during this vulnerable climate of unrest and low employment.

Purchase $25 VISA or other debit cards at CVS, Stop and Shop and other retailers, so our neighbors to buy items as needed. Drop off the cards or purchase on Mitzvah Day.

AFYA & SHARING SHELF – Activity Center from 12-1pm

Help the underserved in our local and global community by assembling hygiene packs.

HOPE COMMUNITY SERVICES – Meat Kitchen from 10am-2pm

Help cook and assemble hot meals for elderly kosher clients.

Adults, teens and older children needed to prep and cook meals

HOPE COMMUNITY SERVICES – Activity Center from 12-2 pm

PRAXIS HOUSE

Bring gently worn clothing (good condition or better) for homeless and formerly homeless residents of Broadway Family Plaza in Riverdale.
