SPACE: Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions

Hosted by Westchester Jewish Center’s Early Childhood Center
Thursdays, October 12, October 26, and November 9  from 9:15 – 10:30am

SPACE is an evidence-based treatment modality for parents of children with anxiety, developed by Eli Lebowitz at the Yale Child Study Center.

In this group, parents will learn:

  • How to focus on changes to their own behavior that will reduce their child’s anxiety.
  • To understand how their child’s anxiety impacts the entire family.
  • Specific language to respond supportively to their anxious child.
  • Strategies for reducing accommodations to their child’s anxiety symptoms.

The cost of this program is $108 for the three sessions per participant. Following the training, group members will have the opportunity to sign up for individual sessions if needed, at the cost of $36 per session.
