Neighbors for Refugees (Neighbors) and Westchester Jewish Coalition for Immigration (WJCI) are proud to team up together to welcome a Ukrainian family to Westchester with the loving kindness of Westchester Jewish Center and Larchmont Temple. To get involved, here are the simple steps you must complete the following:
A background check through Sterling Volunteers. Go to the Sterling website.
Indicate that you are volunteering through Neighbors for Refugees.
The background check must include motor vehicle history for those who will be drivers.
We ask that volunteers pay for the background survey.
Documentation of COVID Vaccination and recommended boosters. Please mail these to info@wjci.org.
We need one leader from each synagogue to man the effort! Please email at info@wjci.org to let us know if you can fill this critical role.
