Let’s Meet Rabbi Events
With only 14 days to go until Rabbi Jeffrey Arnowitz’s first day as Senior Rabbi of Westchester Jewish Center (August 1), the Rabbinic Transition Committee wanted to bundle together the many opportunities to meet Rabbi Arnowitz over the first two months of his tenure. As you will see, a number of those events will also include opportunities to meet Tami Arnowitz.
Rabbi Arnowitz has a goal of meeting as many of us as possible in the lead-up to the High Holidays, and it is our hope that we as a congregation will help him meet that objective—and we’ve worked closely with him to schedule a range of opportunities.
Beginning Friday, August 2, Rabbi Arnowitz will be leading Shabbat services on Friday nights and Saturday mornings. There will be opportunities to chat with him during kiddush, and to see him in our more relaxed, summer davening format. You will also be able to catch Rabbi Arnowitz at our regular minyans (7:00am and 7:30pm on weekdays; 8:30am and 7:30pm on Sundays.)
August 1 from 8:00 to 9:30pm
Wine & Cheese (And Beer)
Come join Rabbi Arnowitz and the Rabbinic Transition Committee on the WJC Patio (outside the Chapel) as we toast his first day as our Senior Rabbi, whether with a glass of wine or a bottle of beer.

In addition to the events above, there will be a small number of parlor meetings taking place over the coming weeks in congregants’ homes. Space is limited and sign-ups are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Those interested should call the main office at 914-698-2960 for more information.
These are days of transition and renewal at WJC, and we look forward to all congregants being a part of this process.
