Shabbat Shalom ~ Chayei Sarah 2021

Shalom WJC Family,
Just a quick note this week to thank you all so much for your support as Tami is sitting shiva for her brother, Michael Brendzel. We feel the warmth and support that makes the phrase “WJC family” more than just words. Thank you for caring for and about us. It is appreciated and it is comforting.

This week Rabbi Dalton will be speaking at Friday night services and Cantor Goldberg will be teaching at Saturday afternoon’s minchah/maariv service. In memory and in honor of my brother-in-law, on Saturday morning I will be speaking about Jewish approaches to mental illness and suicide prevention. If you are inclined to make a donation in memory of my brother-in-law, donations to the Discretionary Fund will be given to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention or a related tzedakah organization, or you can donate there directly by clicking here.

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention was established in 1987. It is a voluntary health organization that gives those affected by suicide a nationwide community empowered by research, education, and advocacy to take action against this leading cause of death.

See you in shul or online,
