WJC Softball Team Moves on the Championship

Following an 11-3 Regular Season and 3 wins in the Playoffs, WJC once again will be playing for the Championship of the Westchester Hebrew Softball League.   Months of great competition and close games (along with a few blowouts) comes down to just one more Sunday in October.

A tradition seems to be developing, given that we will again play against arch-rival B’nai B’rith.  Your Team needs only to win 1 of a possible 2 games to bring the trophy back to WJC, and a win would give the Schul our 2nd consecutive Championship and 5th in 8 years.

Richie Krasner, outstanding opening day shortstop and outfielder on the original WJC Team of over 30 years ago, will honor us by throwing the symbolic “first pitch”.

The Championship game will be played this Sunday, October 13 at Rye Brook Athletic Fields, starting at 9 a.mThe Fields are located at 840 King Street, Rye Brook, N.Y.  Come on out, support your Team and see some great softball!  The Team really appreciates it!
