Women’s Volunteer Trip to Israel

Together in Israel: A Journey of Solidarity, Service, and Sisterhood

Dates: July 28 – August 4 (early AM arrival)

Open to ALL women from the Westchester area.
Tell your friends and relatives!
Trip can accommodate up to 40 women

Cost: approx $3,400– inclusive of ground costs and flight (double occupancy, single occupancy available for additional cost), approx 2 meals per day. Trip insurance is not included and will likely cost around $200-$300.

Subsidized by a generous grant from UJA Federation of New York.

Our mission will be led by Keshet tours (https://www.keshetisrael.co.il) and WJC Rabbi Cornelia Dalton. We will also have a security guard with us for the duration of the trip!

Our 5 nights in Israel will include opportunities to:

  • Bear witness to what happened on October 7 in Kibbutz Kfar Azza and the site of the Reim Supernova festival
  • Volunteer at many locations including providing agricultural support in one of the villages affected by the aftermath of October 7; assisting community members in Ofakim; volunteering alongside of a Bedouin woman who has taken it upon herself to help the Bedouin community of the Negev; work at a soup kitchen, pack food for Israel’s hungry
  • Encounter those directly impacted on October 7, including our friends from Project 24 who were on the front lines; provide a BBQ dinner to Israeli soldiers currently serving, visit with a Palestinian man who grew up in Gaza and fled, now running a program for youth
  • Learn what has been happening in Israel since October 7 by a political analyst, visit the Shalom Hartman Institute
  • Deepen your connection to Israel through celebrating Shabbat in Jerusalem at the pluralistic section of the Western Wall, support Israel’s economy during free time to explore, shop, and dine in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv
  • Reflect with your trip mates on a final beach day in Tel Aviv

The trip has now successfully garnered 15 participants to fully commit which means the trip is now officially happening!
