Period Poverty Speakers

On May 4th, in recognition of National Menstrual Health Awareness Month, SOJAC will be hosting Elizabeth Zimmerman, community organizer from NYCJW, who will give us an overview of period poverty and discuss the advocacy work to address the issue in NYS. We will also hear from a speaker from The Sharing Shelf, who will speak about the existence of period poverty in Westchester County and how their organization works to address it.
