Project Ezra Luncheon

When

November 23, 2025
11:30 am - 2:00 pm

The Project Ezra Luncheon is an important event for both the elders of Project Ezra and the WJC community.

The luncheon brings together two very different communities for a Jewish Peoplehood event that is meaningful and joyous for all involved.

WJC SOJAC hosts the luncheon for about 35 elders who are clients of Project Ezra on the Lower East Side. Many of the elders are of limited resources, and are facing health challenges as well. This year our theme is Thanksgiving and gratitude. We are grateful to once again come together, and spend a wonderful afternoon together with a catered lunch, music provided by our wonderful volunteers, schmoozing, serving, kitchen duties and more provided by WJC volunteers. It is hard to know who has the better time, the elders or the volunteers.

Sisterhood kindly provides the bus, which is a necessity for elders who have limited mobility and may use walkers or wheelchairs. WJC volunteers span every age range from teens to seniors.
