As a second-generation member of WJC, the synagogue has always been Ali’s spiritual home under the leadership of both Rabbi Segelman and Rabbi Koslowe. Ali currently serves on the Board of Trustees, the Family Youth Education Council (FYEC), and the Early Childhood Center (ECC) Committee, and she co-chaired last year’s search for our new ECC Director.  Ali’s three children all attended the ECC and are now enrolled in the Religious School.

Bobby and his wife Louise have been members of WJC for over 25 years, having raised their children here. Bobby has been a member of the House Committee and the Spiritual Life Committee, as well as serving as an Officer and Trustee. He is now often found at PJ Library Storytime and Torah for Tots with his grandson.

Elise and her family have been members of WJC for eight years.  Her three children attended the ECC and are all now in the Religious School.  Elise is a Vice Chancellor at The Jewish Theological Seminary, the alma mater for many members of the WJC professional leadership team.

Wayne and Tara have been members of WJC for 21 years and actively participated in numerous committees and events over the years.  Their sons attended WJC preschool as well as the Hebrew High School.

Amy is an 18-year member of WJC and a parent of two WJC preschool and Religious School graduates. She serves as a synagogue Officer and is Curator of WJC’s Koslowe Gallery of Jewish Art.

Jill and her husband Donald have belonged to WJC for 14 years, and their 16-year-old twins went through the ECC and Religious School. Jill was a Trustee for six years, an Officer for three years and has served on the Nominating Committee and as co-chair of the Dinner Dance.

Alynn and her family have been members of WJC for five years. She is a new Trustee, a member of the ECC Committee and the FYEC, and has two children in the ECC and one in the Religious School.

Craig has been a member of WJC for five years, is in his second year as a Trustee, and is the Co-Chair of the Brotherhood.  Craig has one child in the ECC, one in the Religious School, and an infant. 

Seth Schafler (Co-Chair), SSchafler@proskauer.com

Seth has been a member of WJC for more than 25 years. He and his wife Robin Nichinsky have three grown daughters who attended WJC Religious School. Seth currently holds the positions of Executive Vice President and Officer for Children and Families.   He is also a member of the WJC legal committee, a musician in the WJC Renewal Service, a prayer leader of the WJC High Holidays Study Service, an actor (and occasional writer) in WJC Purimspiels, and a proud alumnus of the Championship WJC softball team.
