Holly Rosen Fink Chair, World Jewry Committee

Jews on Screen: Director/Writer Gary Sinyor on the Journey from “Leon the Pig Farmer” to Amazon’s “The Jewish Enquirer”

Please RSVP in advance: holly@pivotingmedia.com.

Gary Sinyor is a producer, writer, and director who specializes in British comedies, with titles like “Leon the Pig Farmer” and “The Jewish Enquirer.” “Leon the Pig Farmer” is an irreverent comedy about a sensitive Jewish man from London who accidentally learns that he is the product of artificial insemination. “The Jewish Enquirer” is a six-part sitcom about a journalist who works for the United Kingdom’s fourth most successful Jewish newspaper. Watch the hilarious trailer before the main event: https://www.amazon.com/The-Jewish-Enquirer/dp/B085WB7ZNG.  (Please note: The show is rated 16+, so heads up to parents with young children at home.)

Join us this Sunday, February 28, at 10:00am as we hear about Sinyor’s career, how he depicts Jewish life on screen, the public’s response to his work about Jewish people, and how depictions of Jews have changed over the years. Sinyor was raised in a Sephardic Jewish upbringing, before going on to the National Film and Television School. To view the event details, click here!
