After a successful Israeli tour by the World Zionist Organization, this 45-minute play comes to the United States (and to WJC) to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel’s passing. The solo performance (now in English) explores the life of Heschel – from his formative years and recollections of the Holocaust to his profound association with Dr. Martin Luther King. “Heschel’s Passover Eve” serves as a compelling call to action for civil discourse and human rights. Following the live performance, Rabbi Arnowitz will lead a talkback session with the director and performer.
