Please join the Westchester Jewish Coalition for Immigration (WJCI) on Sunday, December 5, at 7:30pm, for a special countywide Zoom conversation about immigration focusing on Jewish traditions, values and solidarity as powerful forces bringing our community together with others to work for the freedom of refugees.

This thought provoking program, Immigrant Rights Through a Jewish Lens, invites Westchester community members and leaders to an educational and compelling dialogue between local and national leaders who are at the forefront of immigrant rights and advocacy. Leading the discussion will be:

Rebecca Kirzner, HIAS
Rabbi Margo Hughes-Robinson, T’ruah
Noelle Damico, The Workers Circle
Rabbi Les Bronstein, Bet Am Shalom Synagogue
Vanessa Agudelo, NYIC

Hear advice from this panel of social justice leaders about the values guiding action needed to achieve and implement stronger federal and state/local level policies to protect immigrants. The final part of the program will focus on shared actions and plans to bring our community together on behalf of immigrants. Panelists and participants will spell out specific ways to get involved, both big and small.

The event, falling on the last night of Hanukkah, will include a Hanukkah candle-lighting and music from local Klezmer performer Jay Elliott.
