On November 20, WJC/ SOJAC will host tie elders of Project Ezra on the Lower East Side for a special afternoon in which they are the cherished guests in our synagogue home. The Project Ezra Luncheon is Jewish Peoplehood event, in which two Jewish communities that differ by age, geography and resources joyfully share their common Jewish heritage through music, song, dance, prayer, food, story and conversation. It is an inter generational event with participation from every age range in the synagogue.

Volunteers needed to:

  • Escort the elders from the bus
  • Set up tables in the Activity Center
  • Plate the food in the kitchen and prepare trolleys for serving
  • Help serve the luncheon and dessert
  • Schmooze with our guests- join in dancing and singing
  • Assist the elders back on the bus
  • Help with clean

There will be three shifts for volunteers. Help out for one, two, or three!
