Join us for a very special musical event as we welcome Dr. D. Zisl Slepovitch, internationally renowned multi-instrumentalist, composer, ethnomusicologist and musician-in-residence at Yale University’s Fortunoff Video Archive for Holocaust Testimonies, along with Sarah Myerson, vocals, and Joshua Camp, accordion. The program will include video testimony from Holocaust survivors followed by performances of new arrangements of their songs, which were originally sung in towns and villages, ghettos and concentration camps across Eastern Europe. Dr. Slepovitch will also discuss his research on the origins of these songs and the experiences of the survivors who recalled them.

The program will begin with a Holocaust Memorial Service at 10:15 am, followed by the Zisl Slepovitch Ensemble at 11:00 am, along with a buffet brunch.
