High Holiday Youth Programs

Dear WJC Families,

We are looking forward to celebrating the High Holidays with your family. In order to ensure the most enriching program for your child in the most safe and secure environment, we ask that you keep the following schedules, information and protocols in mind.

Please note the following times for youth programs:

Rosh Hashanah (Day 1 and 2) 10:00 – 12:00pm
Yom Kippur 10:00 – 12:00pm

• Children that are in the 2’s, 3’s and 4’s will receive a name tag upon arrival to their program.
• All of our programs are planned at an age appropriate level and therefore, we ask that adult family members not request leaders to allow siblings of different ages to remain in services.
• For the safety and security of our children, we ask that children in 3rd grade and younger be accompanied to their service by a grown up and be picked up by a grown up at the conclusion of the program.   Children in 4th grade and above will be permitted to leave the room at conclusion of our program.
• Snacks provided by the WJC Parent’s Association will be given to children ages 2 through 7th grade on Rosh Hashanah and all children ages 2 through 3rd grade on Yom Kippur. We will also be providing a “snack room” on Yom Kippur for older children who may be hungry during youth services.
• We recommend that children bring an individual water bottle.
• A 20-minute Early Childhood service will be offered during our scheduled program for children in the younger age groups (age 2 – Kindergarten). In order to make sure your child does not miss the service please make sure to arrive to your classroom on time. Children under the age of 2 accompanied by a parents, grandparents or other grown-up are welcome at any of our Tot services.
• The playground area will not be open for children to play.
• For the safety of our children, once in services, students will remain with their group until the completion of our program, unless accompanied by a grown up.

Please remember that these protocols exist to ensure the safety of all our children and to assist us in providing the best experience for all our children.
