8:30pm: Selichot Service Our evening begins with a Havdalah and Learning Session. The Selichot Service begins at 9:30pm. Members of several local congregations join together for a musical Selichot service featuring clergy from all the congregations. 10:00am: Community Cemetery Visit During the period around the High Holidays, it is customary to visit the graves of loved ones. Join Rabbi Arnowitz as he leads a few simple prayers and reflections and we then do personal visits. We will begin at the WJC chapel building. 2:15pm: Yom Kippur Shiur Join Rabbi Dalton for a study session based on the themes and texts of Yom Kippur.
3:15pm: Yom Kippur Mindfulness with Cheryl Brause Mindfulness instructor and WJC member Cheryl Brause leads a Yom Kippur-themed session as we approach the final hours of the day.
4:15pm: Community Yizkor Service In addition to our regular Yizkor Memorial service as part of the morning services, we are offering a stand-alone Yizkor service. The service will include all the elements of the service and a Yizkor talk delivered by Rabbi Arnowitz.
