Project 24 is Coming to Westchester!

Many of you have already heard about the Swimming Project taking place on March 5-8. We are looking for volunteers to help in various ways. Project 24 is an organization that ‘utilizes the skills, connections and knowledge of Jews in the diaspora to create self-empowering projects that address the real life needs of those affected by October 7 events and the ‘Iron Swords’ war.’ You can learn more at www.project24israel.org.

About the Swimmers Project:

Project 24 is traveling to our area with ten elite swimmers, ages 15 through 17, who come from the war-stricken kibbutzim in the south of Israel and others from the uprooted kibbutzim in the north.

Since October 7th, pools are damaged or inaccessible and practicing together has become almost impossible. Some of the boys from the south have family members who have been kidnapped. All are survivors of the terror attack. Sagie Assaf, a 16 year-old swimmer, is still recovering from a gunshot wound.

Please use this form if you are interested in volunteering and/or can help connect us to things like restaurants, teen-friendly venues, etc. Depending on how many volunteers we have, we will contact you under separate cover if we are able to take you up on your kind offers.
