WJC’s 2020 Scholar-In-Residence Weekend with Rabbi Sharon Brous was a resounding success. With all six sessions filled to overflowing, Rabbi Brous explored the theme “Reclaiming Religion,” asking us to reimagine how Jewish life and practice can inspire us to reclaim a moral voice and care for our broader communities and indeed the world.
From Friday’s community dinner and conversation to Saturday morning’s sermon, Saturday afternoon’s text study, Saturday night’s Ambassador’s dinner and community dessert, and ending with Sunday morning’s brunch and “ask the rabbis” discussion, over 500 WJC members joined us for this exciting and thought-provoking weekend.
Thank you to the Adult Education Committee members, donors, and attendees for supporting this important program. And to the WJC clergy and staff whose help and hard work made it happen.
