Revised COVID Policies

Dear Friends,

The COVID transmission rate in our area has increased. In keeping with guidance from the CDC and WJC’s COVID-19 Task Force, we are strongly recommending masking for all indoor activities. If you have been exposed to COVID-19 or are showing symptoms we request that you stay home and join activities remotely. Those who are immunocompromised should speak with their medical professionals.

We expect this news will be reassuring for some and disappointing for others. In the WJC community, we strive for a commitment to each other’s health and well-being. This means that we must closely track available data, and adjust our masking protocols relative to local infection rates. We pray for our community and for our world, that we will be able to lighten these requirements again in the future.

In order to simplify our communications, we are implementing a new system to provide clear guidance. The system outline is below.

We are currently set at Level 1: Masks optional.

One thing you can do to lower the risk to yourself, your family, and our community is to make sure you are fully up to date on all your vaccinations. If you are currently eligible for a COVID-19 booster, we highly recommend that you get your dose now. We continue to require that all participants 5 and above be fully vaccinated and reserve the right to check vaccination status.

Very truly yours,
Larry Thaler, President
