Beha’alotkha ~ In Your Raising Up

Initial focus of the parsha is on proper procedures for lighting the 7-branched Menorah and specific ritual roles for the Levites. We learn about a second Passover for those who were impure and thus unable to observe Passover at the regular time. We read about various journeys made by the Israelites, and about their griping (again) and Miriam’s slander – indications of unrest in the camp.
