The J.O.Y. Club Season Opened with a BANG!

The J.O.Y. Club (Just Older Youth 70+) began our second season in June and included popular and compelling programs.

June 10th: Historian and author David Greene, “He Could Make Words Sing: An Ordinary Man During Extraordinary Times”

July 15th: Rabbi William Berman, “The Origins of Religious Attitudes Toward Zionism and Israel, and Their Impact on Present Day Israel”

August 19th: Fun, Games, and BBQ

Our exciting programs continue with:

September 23rd: Dinner is in conjunction with the WJC Long-Time Members Celebration (Our speaker had to cancel last minute and we will reschedule for the spring)

October 21st: Historian Dr. Alfred Hunt, “A Pre-Election Lecture and Discussion”

November 11th: Author Eileen Pollack, “The Bible of Dirty Jokes,” which brings to life the hilarious and moving history of Borscht Belt comedy, Catskills resorts, and the notorious Jewish mob, Murder, Inc.

All events are on Sunday afternoons at 3:00pm and are followed by a light buffet supper. Please make reservations by calling Kim at the WJC office, 914-698-2960.
