You can help the WJC Teen community make a difference at Sarah Neuman: The New Jewish Home. The teens are creating and collecting letters of encouragement for each of the 220 residents to help them through this difficult time. Visitors have not been allowed at Sarah Neuman due to Coronavirus and the nursing home has experienced many Covid-related deaths. Residents would be so happy to receive a friendly and hopeful card from you.
This is an easy and rewarding project for parents to do with children or for anyone artistic and/or who can share caring words (and feel free to use a notecard rather than drawing your own if you’d prefer). Please help the teens to cheer up our neighbors across the street and ensure that each Sarah Neuman resident receives his or her own card. We suggest you sign your card with a first name so it feels more personal.
You can leave cards in a designated bin inside the upper-level entrance at WJC on June 1, June 2, or June 4 between 10:00am and 4:00pm.
