Welcome Afghan Refugees

More than 1,000 Afghan refugees are expected to resettle in New York State over the next six months. WJC has an opportunity to join a local interfaith coalition to welcome these arrivals in a very participatory way. This is an opportunity for us to engage in a historic and critical endeavor as volunteers, using our skills and talents to help them feel at home.
