Please join the Social Justice Action Committee as they commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. by offering the following events.

Sunday, January 8 at 10:00am

A Conversation about Race and Place with NY Times investigative reporter, Debra Kamin who will speak on racial discrimination in housing. Q&A will follow led by Joan Grangenois-Thomas, founder of our local Read/Talk/Act Book Group.

Tuesday, January 10 at 6:00pm


WJC Teen Advisor AJ McCormick leads teens in a discussion on the Civil Rights Movement and Jewish involvement in similar movements throughout history.

Sunday, January 15, at 9:00am

Help the Fuller Center repair and rebuild housing in our community. Project for adults and teens ages 16 and up.

Monday, January 16, at 10:00am and 1:00pm

Build and decorate “Blizzard Boxes” (non-perishable meals) for families in need during the winter months. Appropriate for all ages. The program will be held at JCC Mid-Westchester.

Friday, January 20, at 6:30pm

Shabbat Dinner and Rhythm & Ruach followed by a panel on Reflections on Interfaith Clergy Visit to Israel. This past spring, Rabbi Arnowitz participated in a special visit to Israel with clergy of several religious traditions. Hear them speak about their diverse perspectives.
